That's subjective. My (first edition) Kindle doesn't make for a good experience to me. It's hard to browse the pages, searching is a pain (no real keyboard), the screen contrast isn't so good, etc. However, the size, por

OP is organizing something that might end up helping (or even saving) many Syrians. You're just bikeshedding. This is HN, it's only natural to focus on programming. There are many here with the authority to hire programmers, not m

If you're doing typical e-commerce -- as opposed to, say, SaaS -- the cost of payment processing seems especially important, since it might eat into your (typically low) margins. Why would you recommend Stripe over an established, chea

Devil's advocate: if you're a businessman and you have to pay U$15 per hour to fast food workers, perhaps you might instead run a software business where you can outsource the bulk of the work to programmers living abroad, who dem

Understandable mistake, since fibonacci is the helloworld of functional programming. You might want to suggest something with the Sterling formula instead, but that would be trickier (it's an approximation, not an exact formula).

I don't know if the tritone in the ring grandparent comment mentions is a melodic (2 notes in sequence) or harmonic interval (2 notes at the same time). In any case here is how a tritone interval sounds: https://www.youtube.

You probably don't need 40% of protein for building muscle. The known evidence points to 1.5g per kg of body mass (~=.75g/lb) being more than enough. In my case that works out to about 20%. I doubt that it would reach 40% unless y
