Have you tried to get a credit card? It's easier than getting a bank account (some banks will refuse to open an account for you if you have been here for less than 6 months).

For what is worth, I'm not a native speaker but the only one I find hard to read is the top poster. The second poster's typography is stylized but not harder to read than the average handwritten sign or menu. It says 近代乙女心.

Performance is the least of my worries here. I'd be more worried about security, and plain dependency management. I mean, let's say this libc thing is supposed to be installed in quite a lot of systems, are we really sure that per

Yeah, but there's nothing particularly wrong about rent growing above inflation. A consumer price index is basically a weighted average of prices. Naturally some of these prices will be above the average.

"On Numbers and Games" is a great book but it can be tough. "Winning Ways for your Mathematical Plays" by Berlekamp, Conway & Guy is a gentler introduction to surreal number. It's also very fun.

Because the numbers aren't the same. In a given year, the number of taxi jobs is pretty much fixed. The number of Uber (or generally, non-regulated) drivers is not.
