No, OP was definitely being a dick. Giving him the silent treatment like that is immature, but OP should apologize.

Most large cities, except for Hong Kong, still have plenty of room to build up. You don't tear down the 20-floor buildings to build the 40-floor ones, you tear down the 6-floor ones in the next neighborhood. It's much cheaper to b

Changing things isn't so simple. Homeowners aren't going to be very keen on voting for politicians who run on devaluing their homes or making them pay thousands of dollars of extra taxes every year.

It's not just the land, it's also the cost of construction. Taller buildings cost more than shorter ones.

The first Model 3s still qualify for tax incentives. $35k with a nice rebate on top is perfectly affordable on a middle class salary.

I don't think this is the right approach. IMO, what we need a platform for regional driver co-ops. You obviously wouldn't have the consistency of Uber and Lyft, but the service would take only a tiny cut since they don't have

With heroin you should still legalize possession, just not sale. Instead do what they do in Switzerland and the Netherlands: Have safe injection sites where the government gives you free heroin. Those who are diagnosed with addiction can co

It shouldn't be, but the only way to change that is through politics, which means working through the current system.

Municipal governments can just set up the same system and undercut Uber with public subsidies. Uber has nothing special. People will happily install a new app if it means saving money.

How are they miserable? Most of them seem happy to be there. There are a number of examples of crew members choosing to remain on the Enterprise instead of taking cashier jobs because of the adventure of it.

It's some of A and some of B. Sometimes unjust laws stick around even if the majority of the population thinks they're unjust. Courts are also overburdened with cases and as a result operate very inefficiently. Both of these are c

Because when people hear "ancient Greek philosopher" they think of Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. Figures like Zeno and Epicurus are mostly overlooked.
