I can't wait for Idris2 (or such? It's quite good for programming and having e.g. core data structure implementations verified to uphold their API invariants, without making you prove everything around it.) to get a good fine tune

They are dry until delivered, because they already max out the transport vehicle's capability (often highly specialized transformer carrier train cars with like 16 axles at each end to spread the weight).

No analog yet. Also it's a thousand gates, so more like a 4-digit transistor count. For a physical one you pay an extra 50$.

In similar manner: "what about silicon photonics?" IIUC fiber transceivers have become better than baseband copper differential pair transceivers for same-rack cluster interconnects. And the main issue with them is packaging diffi

I don't think their codebases are particularly connected: AFAIK Desmos is a client-side browser app, so the software is distributed to the user for using in that way, which seems incompatible with the GPL3+ licensing of the GeoGebra co

GeoGebra is the closest I know, at least when limiting to copyleft [or theoretically the SQLite model would be fine, but it's pretty unique in dependability and selflessness for open source projects not subject to copyleft] "middl

The problem is that they're susceptible to accidents like Dahlerau. If this light thing runs into a freight train, it crushed the passengers. It wiped out 2/3rds of the senior grade (2 classes IIUC). But remember that in e.g. rura

No, but since they got common, Germany switched to the "Triebfahrzeug" terminology in operations, and it translates to "propell[ing/ed] car".

On a similar note, I can't wait for LLMs to digest _all_ the research papers readable enough for them and accessible, "take notes" in an index-suitable format/structure, and then act similar to a human who'd done th

Check out the tooling from the seL4 project. I'm aware they used intermediate levels between raw C and the proof assistant, but I don't see why that should be prohibitive.

C safe enough to use for parsing untrusted input like this needs to be either formally verified to be safe (not to be correct, at least it's it's the canonical implementation), or written in an intrinsically memory-safe way which

Prefix delegation naturally follows physical hierarchy, keeping routing tables compact. Mandating something like a static /56 (physical location locked) to be available at no extra cost if the customer asks for it, would work fine, tho

Is it currently legal to just sell your DIY power supply to US consumers? Or is there still like FCC certification required? Assuming, say, a USB-C charger.

Thankfully there are "adapters". Essentially just suitably shaped funnels, and thankfully there are materials that shed the droplets so one won't need to clean much before stowing.

AC transformers have fixed thermal power density, but load power scales with mass to the 4/3rd power (i.e., scales with linear size by the 4th power, while volume and mass and loss only scale to the 3rd power). And no, 99% isn't h

The German wall socket (Schuko) is actually rated for 250V 10A DC. Or 250V 16A AC. A DC plug isn't hard, considering this already assumes the user will pull the arc by ripping the plug of an e.g. flaming appliance.
