We provide a wealth safety net to insure against large loss of capital, think TARP, so then some portion of benefits from large increases should also be shared. It is unfair to ask a country to socialize your losses, but not benefit from yo

It is so frustrating that Apple has gotten away with such developer and user hostility for so long. Maybe this will be the breaking point?

I'm sure both Uber and Lyft have contingency plans to quickly hire drivers as employees. It is more they don't want to switch to the employee model and then back again if the Prop passes

Elon Musk is incredibly stupid, and for the good of Tesla the board should kick him out. Tesla and Alameda County agreed to a plan to re-open on May 18th. Elon Musk should have stuck with that plan. Now he has increased the odds of his empl

There are jobs where independent contractor vs. employee classification is difficult, but Uber and Lyft are the most straightforward classification. Of course, taxi drivers are employees of taxi companies. What other industry are the primar

By the time Classic and Rosetta were retired I didn't miss them because everything I cared about had gotten upgraded. This is not true of my 32 bit apps. For some reason people were still releasing 32 bit apps as late as this year. May

I have too many 32bit games that will never be updated to 64bit. For the first time in 18 years, I am not going to upgrade to the latest mac os. Apple orchestrated a much smoother transition from OS 9 to OS X and RISC to x84 than from 32bit

Every tenant, regardless of what county they live in, needs basic protections for their home. This law is not targeted at SF per-se because SF already has strong rental protections, this law offers the bare minimum of protection for everyo

We currently have a drastic under provision of a good to the tune of 3.5 million homes in CA alone. This under provision is not because building new homes isn't profitable, it is because realtors, landlords and homeowners are actively

We are so very very far above market equilibrium rents. Even if CA did something drastic and limited rents to say $500 per bedroom it would still be profitable to build more housing. Lack of profit incentives is NOT what is blocking housing

Come on. Most users want their "chrome google account" to be the same as their "web google account", and it is confusing when they aren't. You can argue it is unethical to build tech for the military. But you have a
