I agree, but I gotta give it to them that it works great with javascript disabled. Becomes a normal, vertical-scroll website. Better that with javascript in my opinion.

I use the same scheme for blog posts on a website I develop. I solve this problem by looking at the slug and redirecting to the correct one if it is wrong.
