Well the fun I'm having with this is checking all the trivial passwords that people still use despite warnings. No, mine isn't in the list.

Sometimes, I'll log out so the next time I go visit the site, I have the buffer period of login time where I can change my mind before being subject to the content that makes it so attractive.

Excellent idea but a bit unpractical because you can't stop being a programmer just like that - its the way you think. Also, I think that you would have to reach medium to expert levels in terms of skill/immersion by the time you know enoug

I look at the kind of stuff posted here and on TC/Endgadget and those kind of sites, and most of the stuff we read about doesn't even come close to the kinds of things Tesla was working on. In today's world, what are the things that are "m

This is interesting. I reached similar conclusions several years ago and: -turned data off on my phone. The control provided by pull is so much more than push. (email/twitter/facebook) -email client is not running 24/7 anymore. Same philoso

Its a way for up and coming devs to get known; else we are left at at mercy of YOUR contact network which may not know about us. Its also expedient in terms of time we have to invest pursuing that position.

Corruption and accountability are big problems in developing countries; I don't know why UK would be doing this. Cameras ensure teachers are not taking lunch breaks when they should be teaching a class.

Yes, I've been thinking about file management problem for a while too now. Most of my files belong in multiple directories. Right now I have to make multiple links in multiple directories and I hate it every time I have to do it. Because of

There will be in about 25 years. Beginnings of which have already been pointed out by that Facebook picture that went viral, the one that tries to contrast their contributions and their fame.

I'm glad a publication like Forbes is picking up on such internet phenomenon and setting things straight. We need this more than ever. This is not much different than Steve Jobs vs. Dennis Ritchie.

A well overdue post! I haven't done sales in 6 years but that feeling of no callback never leaves you. It's like when you go on an exciting date but nothing ever becomes of it.

Oh right! I mistook your original post for a completely different scheme. Don't know why but I was thinking about encoding data in a single call by reencoding the paging signal. Your idea is much more feasible and actually kinda cool.

Would you be able to do this at the app level? Maybe I don't know about it enough but I'm thinking you would need to have direct access to the radio to encode the paging signal. Then wouldn't the base station have to understand our differen
