It's not that I want them to get fired, I'm just aware that the whole point of an in-house ethics committee is to excuse the objectionable stuff, not to publicly criticize it. Sort of like when people complain that HR wasn't

Nice! Is it publicly available? I wonder what percentage of regular full-time drivers need to participate for the occasional driver to not matter. But yeah, even if it did work there's always the threat of politicians being bought to m

I guess, to some extent. If Uber figures out that drivers are currently participating in a mini-strike, they could just not increase the fare. But then it's just a matter of who's willing to wait it out longer. I just think driver

I'm surprised there aren't more independent apps geared towards maximizing earning for drivers. Like it can't be that hard to create an artificial surge price if there's enough coordination between most regular drivers a

Don't even need two way communication for that I think. A radar should do the trick (although the example video only shows it from a stationary vehicle) https://engineering.princeton.edu/news/2020/06/24&#

This also blocks substacks and blogs btw. Hopefully, this just leads to more sources getting classified as "news media" and eventually stops any meaningful linking and thereby making Facebook useless in Australia at least. One can

That's ridiculous. I always thought the point of rolling blackouts was to make sure no one area was without power for too long.

This is purely anecdotal, but I've found driving like a "grandma" makes the drive completely stress free even in bumper to bumper traffic on the freeway. Just pick the center lane and set the cruise control to just around the

That's interesting. I'm the complete opposite. Highway driving is the least taxing -- I can do it subconsciously. It's the more difficult first/last 15 mins of stop and go that I want automated. I could care less about t
