Just a bunch of hype marketing. I didn't read anything of real substance, granted I didn't read the whole thing because it seemed pointless.

Exactly. There is no real evidence, so we can't conclude one way or another. A lot of people are treating the Nuland call like a smoking gun, but it isn't one.

I can see how it can be called a coup because of the protesters' violence and arguing that difference is pretty pedantic so I have no problem with that. The main point I was making was in response to the person confidently claiming Nul

You're absolutely right. Thanks for the correction. I'd edit my comment but HN prevents that after a period of time.

Giving her support of a particular candidate is not "orchestrating" any coup. By that logic, the Democratic party giving support to Biden means the Democratic party enacted a coup on the US. Following the law of a country is not a

I'd say the US and Russian populations are just as susceptible to conspiracy theories and propaganda, but Russia's propaganda is on another level and much more blatant. Their line seems to be further than the US'.

For sure. I think computers and the internet will continue to be more innovative than most other industries, but the rate will be slower than what we are used to. There was a time when performance would double every couple of years, but now

What other similarly sized or smaller company has successfully built a browser which is not Chromium-based fit for the average consumer? If you're just piggybacking on Google's work, then sure, it's probably not bad, but Mozi

Idk, I think people underestimate what it takes to support a browser. It's a lot of money and Mozilla doesn't have an ad empire to leverage, operating system sales to subsidize from, or phone/computer sales. All they have is

It would be nice, but it's not realistic. If Google's revenue disappears, then unless Mozilla finds some other form of revenue (which they've been trying to do for years now), Firefox is done for.

I'd guess it's a combination of labor required to rewrite them and that you'd more or less have to use a safe systems language in order to not have a performance regression
