"Generative AI" is a misnomer; it's not the same kind of "generative" as the G in GAN. While you're right about GANs, diffusion models as transformers as transformers are most commonly trained with supervised l

Of course that's true, but what's the point of building a decacorn company just so you have higher chances of building another decacorn company afterwards? If money was his motivation, why wouldn't he spend his time building

This is specifically about Asahi Linux, a distro that runs on Apple Silicon (which had no speaker support so far) You're right that if you're missing that context, it's kind of hard to tell just from this issue alone.

Most normal users (aka if you read Hacker News, you're not one of those) don't and won't know about shift and control clicking. A more UX-friendly alternative is to have checkboxes; you can still have shift/control-click

Regarding the recommendations: 0 is to prevent mistakes where you declare a function, but forget to implement it. If that's really intended I like to put a comment "do nothing" in empty functions, even in projects without the

I agree, but self-driving cars (in the success case) are something new. More safety, less traffic, no more parking. I could see them make the way to Europe too (I'd love to have Waymos in my rural village, where cars are still common).
