That's surprising for me to hear (as a non-Ruby/Rails guy that doesn't know that sub-market), given how many massively successful startups were built on Rails. I get that Rails isn't the hot new thing anymore, but Airbnb

HFT firms require lots of domain knowledge on top of “just” C++. Those quants are elite mathematicians and highly knowledgeable in finance in addition to being great at C++ (or OCaml). I would say that C++ expertise is often actually “under

Is this COVID-driven? How sad. Pretty weird seeing “MIT ID (Covid Pass)” in almost-2023. Does MIT know that the rest of the world is over it? That most countries have no entry measures now? When do the smart kids just start saying “no” and

Street view is not an ultra-HD map for autonomous driving. Cruise isn’t using street view, or anything so primitive and easy to collect in comparison, to navigate SF. And it doesn’t scale in and of itself without being backed by a search ad

How are non engineers graded then? Is it just the “GitHub metrics” of merged LoC? I know architects that spend most of their time writing design docs. Does that not get measured as a deliverable? That’s literally their job
