everytime i use mysql i die a little inside. that said, the amount of work to switch over to postgres isn't worth it. not that there's a lot of work, more a lack of team experience that makes it currently not a smart move.

Trouble is, so much has changed that they need a whole separate audit. And who knows what problems removing code introduces. But then again, they might not b worse, but they'll still need auditing to find out

God damn it not again. Bring on boringssl/libressl. Although they'll be full of holes as well probably, and as things stand there's a lot of people looking at openssl at the moment. So maybe better the devil you know

just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it's unsuitable. it doesn't work for me either, but i know plenty of people who it does work for. same with windows. and that said, you can always put linux on it if that

My argument is that you'll need better developers who cost more money. Not only that, but you're making the project more complicated. i.e if the project is to create x, then you have to also create y first and, it's harder to

interesting, although the old mantra of "hardware is cheap, developers are expensive" is still true. you could hire 10 perl/c/c++/javascript/php/etc dev with ease for your project, but struggle to find one
