Am I missing something or is this nonsense? The "Big Model" paper is a survey paper that summarizes the current state of the field, while the "original" paper is specific technique. The former, as a small part of the sur

Same thing. Incredibly slow and clunky for me as well. Seems like all tools go through this evolution because you know, somehow they have to get VC-sized returns instead of staying small and nimble. I stopped using tools with any kind of lo

Do you really not know anything about these topics or is this post a lie? :) In case what you're saying is true, props to you for realizing yourself that you're doing something wrong. People stretch the truth sometimes and exagger

How old are you? I used to be like you, but ever since I've hit mid-30s I started to find more fulfillment in books that are not engineering and science focused. Unless it's something directly relevant to what I'm currently w

You need to look beneath the surface. There is a fundamental difference. In Web3, not everyone can post pictures, only those who are rich. Furthermore, it is decentralized. Decentralized! No government can take away your cat or anime waifu

Equal split or walk away. Anything else but an equal split will create incentive problems later on, look weird when you're fundraising, and make you feel under-appreciated and unhappy in case the company succeeds. Personally I think yo

What made these battles so special is that the internet in its current form didn't quite exist yet, so you couldn't easily look up guides or YouTube videos. You had to buy the big expensive FF7 strategy guide book and struggle you

I have been appending reddit to my queries for 1-2 years now. I agree with everything in the article, but I believe that the whole AI trend had a larger negative effect on Google than more ad optimization. Just like the gmail effect, teams

Part of thinking probabilistically is understanding when not to place a bet. You take into account your own technical savviness, your own understanding of blockchain technologies and protocols, the amount of scams and rug pulls and insider

No, that's not what I meant. My point is that because of how science has evolved, with social media and citation hacks and tenure ladders, it is not as effective as it was during Newton's time.

Let's go. Give me your downvotes. 1. The best approximation for writing maintainable and fast code is to be a craftsman trying to write beautiful code. To find joy in the art of coding, not race towards making something that works. 2.

I'm in the market for a new tablet as well. I have a pretty old iPad that I'm happy with, but I really dislike the Apple ecosystem except for the Macbooks. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 should be releasing soon and that's probabl

I believe when you read things on the internet, or anywhere, it should be common sense to assume that it does not apply to absolutely everyone/everything in all possible contexts. Use your common sense. It would be unreasonable to forc

Even k3s/k3d (I haven't used the others but I assume it's the same) comes with ingress controllers built-in, Traefik in the case of k3s, but it's easy to switch to nginx. So the OP is right, this is unnecessary complexit

Why isn't this flagged? And why does this get upvotes? This a low-quality zero-content bait article. The same thing is right there in the matplotlib documentation [0] [0] https://matplotlib.org/stable/gallery/

It's true. 50% may know a few words, but probably less than 5% speak good enough English to have a regular conversation about something more complex than the weather. You can definitely live in Tokyo without knowing Japanese and do eve

Check out Hades. It's a roguelike and one of my favorite games of the past few years. Amazing music too. Won some game of the year awards I think. I played it on Mac, so I assume it works on Linux too.
