It almost never snows where I live. It's pretty remote, 4 roads in, 4 roads out of town. Hundreds of miles to a big city. Anyway, like 6 or 7 years ago there was a freakish huge snowstorm. Dumped feet of snow. Collapsed some roofs in t

Key generation time (for either type of UUID) is negligible compared to insert times. On the order of fractions of a microsecond for key generation as opposed to several milliseconds for inserts.

It tells you in the previous section: "UUID - even though always looks similar - comes in multiple variants. Java's UUID.randomUUID() - returns UUID v4 - which is a pseudo-random value. For us the more interesting one is UUID v7 -

Money has a tendency to corrupt. Maybe a "church" should only be allowed to have the amount needed to fund reasonable operating expenses (plus some emergency funds and charitable work). If you have more you aren't a church, y

When we perceive something, anything, it comes to us strictly as a mental (or emotional or sensational if you like) projection. In other words, our perception is inevitably subjective and personalized. Now most of us can agree on many thing

Surprised at the number of people saying "just do it"! For what it's worth I would never ink my body. Ever. I would sleep in the disposal hole of a porta potty first, that is how strongly I feel about it. I have nothing again

You can't fix adversarial disinformation with domestic disinformation. Trust in western governments is not great at the moment. The primary cause of this is probably not adversarial disinformation.
