Yeah, it's pretty weird. But for the most part, I find it pretty easy to ignore and use a more vanilla style of cmake. It all works fine without the component stuff

What possible reason do you have to assume it fetches only this data? Apple is absolutely slurping up any and all data they can get about your machine, you, whatever is visible on the network, nearby WiFi networks and your physical locati

This is pretty much just an ad/review of the phone with an absolutely nonsense title. I genuinely have no clue what the author intended that title to imply, but the body of the article is about how most/all components can be repla

Yup. I ran a bot a long time ago and it was pretty trivial to quietly scrape the entire history of any server it was in. I only ever did this on my own server for good reason, but still. Really a bot doesn't have any more access than a

Installing a whole toolchain and SDK system-wide is such nonsense. Espressif's toolchain and SDK are in a git repo that you add as a submodule, or in a directory anywhere you want. If I want to use microchip or Nordic on a new machine

I spent so much time trying to get the SDK working for NRF52 that I genuinely just gave up and redesigned our whole product to use an ESP32 instead of the NRF plus other uC. I think that is genuinely the reason espressif is eating everyone&

It does not. In my experience it always gives drivers that are at least 6-12 months old. Particularly GPU drivers. Drivers for other random things like disk controllers are likely to be a lot older. I can't recall ever checking a WU

The entire world's supply of lithium batteries in 2024 was (rounding up) 4TWh. In 2024, the USA used 30,000TWh. In December of 2024, we used about 2,500TWh. The entire planet's production capacity of batteries in 2024 would stor
