> Let people who are used to meat/dairy diets adopt plant-based diets and I wouldn't be surprised if this leads to more of them becoming overweight. I think that the exact opposite is true. Most new vegans lose weight quickly.

Thank you. Yes, they do. But they are pretty inefficient manure factories [ https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/land-use-kcal-poore ]. We even have 8 milliards of humans producing manure, which we currently (mostly) flush

Stop eating cows & dairy. Immediately you've reduced the scale by 75%. If the world adopted a plant-based diet we would reduce global agricultural land use from 4 to 1 billion hectares [ https://ourworldindata.org/la

We need to plant new forests. We need old growth / primaeval forests, and a lot of them. Our curent forest practices are laughable. [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKL40aBg-7E - The Biotic Pump] [ https://fo

Not every piece of land existing should be used to feed us. We could reforest the pastures (start reducing CO2 in the atmosphere) and return the land to the wildlife (put a stop to an anthropomorphic extinction).

The pressure is here from us doing bad things. We're killing the soil, bugs, forests, wildlife, sea, mainly by purchasing the wrong things in the supermarket. [1] We could use just 25% of our current agriculture land and still feed the

Doesn't US have big problems with air conditioners in the summer? Hempcrete is not only for winter months and keeping heat inside. It's also very good for keeping the heat outside of the building in summer. [ https://www

As it turns out, hempcrete is a great thermal insulator. Less heat flows through it than through other insulators, e.g. wool or cotton. In winter, the temperature of the outer walls of hemp houses can be around 5C lower than in the houses (

How thick the external wall is depends on your insulation requirements - for residential building a foot is not much, not in central/northern europe, because you don't need additional insulating layer, as is the case with other, m

I think one of the solutions may be based on hemp, currently known as hempcrete or hemp concrete - essentially a mix of hemp hurd (the woody essence of the hemp plant), hydraulic lime, and water. You mix it up and then all you need is just

We don't need everybody working. 75% of jobs are bullshit jobs. Just 2% of people work in agriculture. We slave 30-40 years for a priviledge to live in a house. (Almost) all money in circulation is owned/issued by banks, and the i

Maybe we could finally stop subsidizing cows / dairy industry. Cows use 3/4 of our agriculture land, same amount of land as all current forests. Beef / dairy is also a leading defforestation driver. And for cheese/milk t
