I don't visit Gab, but I will definitely be closing my Joyent account. If you're not a courageous and principled defender of free speech, you should get out of the cloud business.

The context for this post is that money is money and money is currently cheap. VCs work hard to create the perception that their money is more valuable than investor's money.

Does anyone know why they are using Xeon processors instead of the AMD Threadripper? Is it the support for ECC memory? If so, why is it that so important? Example: https://www.pugetsystems.com/nav/peak/tower_single

I also have the same question, but I'm specifically interested in a non-technical co-founder. Someone smart who has innate business acumen and is a shameless salesperson.

I've always disliked intense cynicism in Show HN and Launch HN, but... It's a web browser, but instead of being open source (Chromium) or a non-profit (Mozilla Foundation), it's run completely by a single for-profit company.

This is so misguided. GDPR is a disaster and only entrenches large companies.

Please ignore the advice in that article. It's hinged on the false idea that a manager always knows best. Imagine for a second that the manager is wrong in his/her judgement. Now the developer has to choose between arguing with th
