I think the problem is that programmers have been taught to list every language and tech they have used on order to pass through HR. So, for example, when I was a student I wrote a ton of c# code. I’d be inclined to put that on a resume. Bu

It would t surprise me if a lot of these stupid questions were actually useful because they indirectly measure something else. On that note, assigning lengthy interview projects is probably a good proxy for “won’t negotuate to hard on his s

Over a decade ago, I had a website. But it seems to me that Facebook killed that urge. As people are now moving off of Facebook, it does make sense for personal websites to return. But people will return with a new perspective. I’ve done th

It’s not like you can’t write backtracking search in other languages. Prolog’s power seems to be in the ease you have expressing new versions these kind of problems, but I’m skeptical that it actually has an advantage for solving large work

Speaking of github’s UI, how come on mobile there are lists of pull requests and issues, and closing them doesn’t remove them from the list?

Yes I think here we have to understand risk as meaning opportunity cost. If employ 1 is getting paid less than he would at google, then the opportunity to earn that money is weighed against the opportunity to own part of this startup.

Probably not, but... Electric cars are associated with environmentalists. This makes your brand hard to market to conservatives, despite the fact that they are big part of the luxury car market. I wonder if sticking it to the SEC could be u

Cool tech, but the design seems fundamentally flawed. There should be two screens, not three. Putting them both on the outside does increase the wear and tear, and it’s tough to know which side the user wants to use, but having so much capa
