Thanks. Yes and yes. They appear like normal users on the XMPP server, although we didn't implement things like roster etc.

Re-invent the wheel. You should implement the most common data structures in your language of choice. [...] While I agree that it helps a lot understanding those data structures by implementing them, it might be good to

XMPP over Websockets is implemented in various servers: - Prosody (http://code.google.com/p/prosody-modules/wiki/mod_websocket) - openfire (http://code.google.com/p/openfire-websockets/) - Tigase (built-in as far as I could see) -

Well, I'll be that guy then: Why are people not using tabs instead of spaces? Really: I couldn't care less about how much spaces my team mate is using for a tab. I just know: Indent by tab, and everyone can set their settings on their own a

I guess in order to install a heroku.json'ified project, you first need to install the plugin as well, right? So basicly: heroku plugins:install ... heroku bootstrap

Ok I understand the decision now. Surely both (sequelize and node-orm2) aren't the one and only solution yet but I needed some stuff to be supported which you didn't (yet), e.g. indexes or something like that. Did you have a look at jugglin

Well I guess this depends on the context. Usually when I talk about real-time I talk about soft real-time and explicitly state "hard" when I talk about hard real-time (which I don't really do as I don't do hard real-time ;)).

I guess you mean hard realtime. What usually on the web is called realtime is soft realtime IMHO.

I've looked the past week into sails.js. It brings a really cool new way to MVC Frameworks and makes it easy to do certain aspects. What I missed (and that's why I'm using express.js now) is the documentation (lacking) and testability (lack

Websockets inspection would be very nice. To my knowledge no browser does support this and it would be very handy IMHO.

Full disclosure: I built Candy You could use Candy ( http://candy-chat.github.com/candy ) as a nice web UI for XMPP MUC (Multi-User-Chat). It supports basic features but is easily extendable through plugins.

Actually that would be a neat search engine idea: Targeted at programmers, you can specify the language the library/question/tutorial/etc. should be written in and it searches only websites related to this.
