The final exam in my Networks class had a section with jokes and comics and you had to explain why they were funny. The following two were on it, among others: The great thing about TCP jokes is you always get them. A TCP packet walks into

Question re: only utilizing one CPU and GOMAXPROCS: would it be in bad taste to, by default, for a program which might be used by other people (and uses goroutines extensively) to include in initialization "runtime.GOMAXPROCS(runtime.NumCPU

I was there this summer. martinced's comment made me laugh out loud. For martinced's information, about a third of the population of Argentina lives in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area which has a nice bright dot. Uruguay is not fine, it

Geography is an insufficient answer. I didn't realize there was confusion or speculation, possibly even on the part of raganwald, over why most economic activity is useless: obviously capitalism doesn't primarily select for usefulness. The

You and guynamedloren clearly didn't read past the second heading. The point of the article is that geography is one important factor for why people don't work at jobs that matter.

I imagine some of my clients could have been in a similar situation to Campbell's: they want a site or mobile app for marketing purposes or whatever. Since it's not crucial for their business, they don't know what they want. Yeah, maybe the

It says the information is from PyPI, and gunicorn is in the "Python 3" category on PyPI. That might be it. Edit: aha, that's probably the case. At the bottom of the page, it says: > If a module is red though it supports python 3 it's b

I'm surprised Guild Wars (especially 2) hasn't been brought up. I don't know about a game like Triple Town, but ArenaNet's sort of hybrid model seems promising: up front fee for a great, complete game, and more opportunities with the "coin
