Yes, the problem is latency. Which is actually not that big of a problem in some parts of the world. Also, if you have a metered connection bandwidth can become a problem. I have tested stadia at family and I was really impressed how well

In my opinion, the article is wrong. Yes, if you get a mac with activation lock enabled, from someone who is not the person who can disable it, YOU are wrong. Recyclers etc should simply educate their staff to ask and validate that activati

No. Repair means broken parts get replaced but the same owner (thus the person who activated the mac) will get the device back. This new feature simply means macbook robery will go down like the cellphone robery went down after activation l

A setup with an ASG per AZ makes it a lot harder to do real autoscaling based on load/mem/connections. If it was purely for running a fixed amount of instances equally spread acros AZ's this would probably work, but not in ou

True, but autoscaling at the moment is unable to scale in/out because of this issue. If your autoscaling group includes the affected AZ, you are out of luck because those instances are being terminated since their health checks fail. B

If you put an event bus in the middle (kinesis) your api-lambda functions don't need direct access to your RDS. Subscribe lambda functions to your kinesis stream, and let them handle the link to your RDS. This way you wont notice the c

If your desktop/laptop runs macos, or you use an iPad, you can send and receive SMS using iMessage. You can link as many devices as you want, they just need to login to the same iMessages account.
