As battery tech improves, by definition we are going to reach ever increasing energy densities, ideally on the order of magnitde of hydrocarbons'. Moreover, people will want for devices to charge fast. This implies a lot of waste heath

On top of that, there is the notion of change set _obsolescence_: a change may be replaced by a newer one, effectively replacing it.

Talking about flexible mutable history, there are two more official extensions to be mentioned: - evolve [0], which allows to rewrite history lossessly (without ever risking losing data) - absorb [1] which takes uncommitted working copy cha

SMS used to be an important revenue source for telcos. Basically they were charging for a best effort service on a signalling side channel. Free money.

This is indeed true in many cases, but not always. If your application is a client-side GUI you may not want to restart it on reconfiguration. This applies to other things as well: think about having to restart your reverse proxy/load

Building a _runnable_ system is yet another ability, though. This may not apply to you specifically, but - for example - think about: - clear error messages (with the actual data that caused it, minus privacy-sensitive information) - possib

I disagree. The definition of what is high and what is low frequency depends on what you are comparing. If you are comparing electric capacitances of electric circuits vs the thermal capacitance of a macroscopic object, 1 Hz might be a high

Nit: in py3 map() and filter() are lazy (they return iterators instead of lists). You can better mimic their semantics using generator expressions "()" instead of list comprehensions "[]".

The map() function is already lazy (in python 3 it returns a generator, and not a materialized list). You can also have a look at "generator expressions", which are the lazy counterpart to a list comprehension (hint: use " ()

First of all, thanks for marginalia.nu. Have you considered stored compressed blobs in a sqlite file? Works fine for me, you can do indexed searches on your "stored" data, and can extract single pages if you want.
