As a games industry (where Perforce is by far the most common VCS in a team of any reasonably significant size) person, we absolutely do not give a crap about source-available or otherwise. We want tools that work, even if we have to pay fo

Last time I bought a car, I just messaged my credit union's Auto Buying service with the make/model I wanted. They told me the best price they could find and the dealer drove the car to my workplace once I set up the financing. If

This is great, but I'm going to wait for service pack 2, hopefully with included invasive telemetry, candy crush and an antimalware scanner that makes every IO 100x slower. I am really tempted to try this in a VM just to see how far it

oh, I had no idea from scanning the docs that it created a physical file for every virtual file. that really makes it of marginal general use. I suppose the choice of the name also makes sense in that context.

Well at least it seems easier than the IFS approach to exposing a foreign filesystem. I suppose if someone wrote a FUSE api wrapper around this it could be even more useful.

The intent isn't to block voice calls, but (probably) spreading of misinformation via social networks and group chat apps. Where the definition of "misinformation" is up to the government.

If the artist's license was for non-commercial use, isn't using it for training an AI for commercial use a clear violation ? I would love to know why not.

So… mostly the original design of Obamacare ? That went over swimmingly. There are enough “easy” solutions if the only goal is well-being of the citizen. That’s not always the priority for some obscure reason

I think it's more inertia than anything else at this point. For example, the Xbox/Windows GDK allows you to basically target one codebase for both platforms (with minor differences). So developing an Xbox-competing console is a ma
