I wonder if this is just an inevitable outcome of the majority of society being online. The beginnings of the internet are rooted in academia and hobbyists. Early adopters were experts in their respective fields with analytical minds. Now t

A workaround does not necessitate tech debt. "Workaround" is a conflated term - it basically implies something works differently than one might expect, which is subjective. Anyway, what is the alternative? Saying "that's

If you work with JSX daily, which 99% of React developers do, this is not hard to grok. It's a very typical functional composition pattern in React. Since this framework is targeted at those who want to use React, and presumably alread

It's not sufficient in many cases, especially when scheduling things that you expect to happen at a specific local time. https://codeblog.jonskeet.uk/2019/03/27/storing-utc-is-not-a...

What you're overlooking is that CSS has to be backwards compatible to as great an extent as possible. It's not an option to abandon existing paradigms and what you perceive as "pointless complexity", because it would bre

All of your questions have to do with copyright, which has little to do with the format of the thing you're purchasing (an mp3).

No, not really. It comes down to how you define "safe haven" - if violent groups are actively moderated and banned, then I don't think it can be called a safe haven. How does the rest of the internet equate to Parler in this

There's no hyperbole in the comment. It can still be a safe haven for extremists even if most of the users are not.

Yes it is...? Google Fonts is the service, not the fonts themselves. Check the "About" and "License" tab of any font on Google Fonts, they're not created by Google.

I definitely understand the desire to avoid a build-time tool. Especially Gatsby is way harder than it should be to get up and running. But for me, portability and data integrity trumps ease-of-publishing. If you want to move your blog to a

Uh, "git push"? With netlify or vercel you're up and running in about 60 seconds. I don't see how you get from your code editor to production without a few commands in between.
