I guess many of us underestimate how many teenagers own a smartphone but not a laptop/desktop computer. In older generation it was the reverse, people owned a laptop/desktop before owning a smartphone..

The blame would be on baremetal server. They would move to AWS with multi region EKS clusters and RDS with cross-region disaster recovery. And a multi-cloud strategy is also in place..

Thats amazing. During my corporate career, the places I worked had no additional pay for getting call outs. Would have loved some extra cash back then (was unmarried - happy to do extra hours)

I see, Realme/Oppo is not popular yet but is miles ahead of Xiaomi. Its almost as good as Samsung in terms of durability and much better in terms of quality of underlying components (vs value). Its pretty much a budget OnePlus.

I would recommend Nodejs for this use case and if other use cases come by such as machine learning or distributed transaction, you can split business logic as separate microservice using Python or Java as needed
