I tried both and went with Joplin - it was a while ago and I can't remember exactly why, sorry. Import from EverNote would have been a factor (Obsidian may have this too?) as well as being FOSS. I use my notes as a personal knowledge b

I like the idea. It's completely fine if your chosen target audience is Twitter users however if that wasn't your intention you may want to look into some way of using the application that doesn't involve a twitter account as

+1 for Joplin, I moved over from Evernote because I was worried about Evernotes future and I have been pretty happy with Joplin. It's not quite as featured as Evernote but it is more stable and reliable.

Evernote does me perfectly fine. I have recently downloaded NixNote for another try (last time I tried it was still called Nevernote). It seems ok so far but nothing compelling (for me) to make the switch from Evernote.
