Some truth to that, but in general women are more selective than men. Men have a much higher range in terms of IQ, attractiveness, personality, etc... than do women who tend to fall toward a median.

Nah. The issue is that women generally have higher perceived self worth than men do in this regard, and so are more selective.

Exactly. There is no serious reason why they can't do this.

No they don't, they can just say this person disproportionally rejects people of whatever race or prejudice. No need to state the host's race.

Yes, or perhaps they can flat out tell people "we are looking at the data and if you discriminate based on skin color you are not hosting and we will tell other sites about our find". It's disgusting that people still do this

Or they could just buy Uber. The thing is they likely wouldn't want to own Uber, especially considering it's just burning through mega-cash.

No. It would definitely lead to a torrent of click-bait headlines though. So we have that to look forward to....

It's an economic and cultural one, but not in the terms you have described. So first you have to decide whether you support completely open borders, or borders. At that point we're arguing about who to let in and how many. Right?

What is racist about not wanting things to change? This is a totally separate issue from racism. Calling it "boys will be boys" or "girls will be girls" is a gross oversimplification.

I agree, but how many people come here from, say, India or wherever, work in IT in somewhere like SF and say ok I've had enough training, time to go make my country a better place? None. I don't blame them either.

What the book was actually about was the worry that the France was losing its national identity, the framework upon which it was built was Christianity. They want to preserve that identity. I don't think it's about skin color, but

Yeah I mean, the problem is that we can't afford to "let them all in", so how do you decide who to let in? An immigration policy that is held be numerous other countries that favors skilled immigrants seems to be reasonable.

Yeah so you're agreeing with what I said earlier. It's not desirable by any means, but not the end of the world. That's all I wanted to point out lol.

That statistic is simply meaningless in this context. Just today some girl got arrested with her boyfriend for sex before marriage. Does that happen in Mexico or Poland?

Sure and I love that those people (highly skilled immigrants) are working for American companies. But so what? That doesn't demonstrate that the US doesn't have enough talent. It just shows that some people from out of the country

What else is there to say? It's the Middle East. Can women even start businesses there? What if you're gay? Will they behead the CEO of a Y Combinator-backed startup if he/she is ousted as gay or an atheist? Will the founder

Yeah I lean toward this view as well. The point of an IPO is to raise capital. But when you do this, unless you own 51% of the company or there is a small group of like-minded individuals that own 51% of the company, you can wind up losing

I'd love to actually take that bet. Excluding thermonuclear war, if things get annoying enough we'll just elect a democrat next year and restore the political arena that people believe is best. One (what seems to be) bad president

I'm speaking in relation to Y Combinator and those who are looking to apply to come to the United Stats to start a company. The number of those people is an absolutely small number compared to the whole. Unless you have data proving ot
