To be honest, the appearance of Bootstrap is what I like the least about it at this point. Too few people customize the UI, and we're seeing a lot of similar sites as a result. The last thing I want is to see more sites that look like Boots

The biggest benefit I've seen out of Yammer is in the fact that it increased employee interaction, not just document sharing. After my company rolled it out, I was shocked at how many of us took to it. Everyone knows the reason: it looks an

Obviously measuring success by capital raised is silly. Is there a better alternative? Some function of pageviews (for more 'social' companies) vs. money raised? Tough to say. In any case, I wouldn't read much into the OP.

Her point was that women have a choice, and by nature, women have different options than men. She did not say that all women should just sit at home having kids.

Generally, I agree with the article. But I've been seeing a lot of projects that lead me to believe developers are becoming more design-minded. Many new JS libraries, for example, are beautifully presented. My hunch has always been that Git

Agreed on overlaps. Circles are essentially tags/labels with a nicer UI. I wonder why tags are the chosen solution for _every_ classification task these days. They're great for information retrieval because they easily let you widen or narr

As an Interaction Designer, I'd love to see a language that was built using UX methods and patterns (e.g. user research, usability testing, designing for visual perception). It probably won't produce linguistic innovations, but it could be

Agreed. This is proof-of-concept time. If it succeeds, TV/film producers will gradually dip their feet in more.

Agreed. I'd prefer to discuss the pros/cons of the framework, but honestly the content on the left was enough to make me stop reading. It's unfortunately very common to miss out on interesting content because of UI pickiness.

Agreed. It's very easy to learn by example, and with all the great CSS frameworks out there you won't need Photoshop to produce good-looking widgets. A lot of my early designs were based on ideas from this book: http://www.amazon.com/Web-D

Any regimen is (usually) better than nothing. So, great start! If your goal is to gain muscle, however, I'd change a few things. 1. I don't go jogging (very much) when I'm shooting for muscle gain. The reason is that it wears down my joints

1. I don't need private repos yet, so GitHub is free for me. 2. If I do need private repos, I can afford GitHub. 3. GitHub has better UX and design, and its design sense has been contagious to its users. I think part of the reason people ma
