I don't get it. When I am working on a project I just go to the root project directory and open up vim. NERDTree automatically loads the file structure of the project directory which is my current focus. Why should I need a file-drawer with

Overall like explorer in Windows 7, but its file indexing is very slow. Search takes long time. But third part software like everything[1] does it smoothly. I hope they fix it in Windows 8. http://www.voidtools.com/

Pressing b also opens show buffer window and you can select tab by pressing tab. You can also filter by title which is not possible in shift+b way.

My firefox browsing way is to open every link in new tab. Going back and forth in same tab caches every page browsed in the tab so it increases memory consumption. In this I usually end up opening 40+ tabs. But tab management is super easy

Whenever I am in low bandwidth connection I use opera with turbo enabled. Plus it has low memory footprint than chrome and firefox. Also it has some unique feature like fit to width and show/hide image.

You can't find him by only his nickname. You have to add other things like where he lived, what is his college etc (if he wants to share that info with the world). Nickname/identity is not that important for you as it is for google/facebook
