Can't you do something similar with plex? I don't remember doing much other than using their installer. Good work though, although I don't listen to much non-streaming (spotify) music lately.

Except for the millions of people using apps such as Slack or Discord or people using the new Keybase desktop offerings, or people using Atom, or VSCode. Electron (sadly imo) is being used in plenty of newly developed cross platform applica

I agree. IMO if youre coding something for fun, just find some new tech that interests you and do it. Getting paid? Find what works well, learn it, and use it. You want stability and good community support / documentation. Dont follow

Neat I made a grid sequencer synth thing using react and webaudio a few months back. Let's you edit the adsr envelopes in realtime, sync to a plugged in launchpad over midi, and supports sharing. Music is fun! http://ell.git

I've done a few streams on this site now (my channel is at http://livecoding.tv/ell ) and my biggest issue so far is the bitrate enforcement. My bitrate fluctuates randomly sometimes and the website straight up boots me

Ya pretty much don't ever use this app if you actually want to be anonymous. DM's are logged and I really doubt the author would not comply if the Feds came knocking.
