Maybe not true everywhere but in all the towns I have lived in the homeless were well aware of organizations that provide assistance. No need to carry a card about it.

We have a corolla and it is bigger than we need. I wish smart cars had been popular enough to still be on sale. Honestly, we should probably just get rid of our car.

I hate how hard it is to get a small car in the US. I grew up driving a Geo Metro and would love to get a car in that size today but the options are very limited.

I don't know much about BYD cars but from what I can tell they sound to just be better cars than what Tesla puts out.

Even Garmin has largely moved to AMOLED screens. They look great both indoors and outside and with modern technology they are not as battery hungry as they once were. Personally I find the battery life on my Apple Watch more than acceptable

What I love about smart watches is you don’t have to carry your phone. You can leave it behind and not miss much.

I have had an Apple Watch since the original and never had it that bad. I think something is wrong with your watch.

WiFi and Cellular are avialble on the smallest of apple watches. I don't care if my smartwatch can go 30 days between a charge, none of that matters if it can't do what I want it to do. I had a pebble back in the day and I thought

I had a pebble and the limitations of the device drove me insane. I don't care if my smart watch has 30 days of battery, I care about what it does and that I can do the things I want to do on it. The Apple watch has wifi and celluar an

I guess I don't see why Pebble, or any smart watch, should need a phone at all. The watch should be able to connect to wifi and/or cellular by itself. We should be able to run full apps on the watch itself.

I will say that an LLM helped me work through some past trauma in a way therapists never could. I don’t think anyone should use these models in place of therapy but I was pretty amazed at how quickly it helped me with an issue I had been ha

For me, Kagi felt like a godsend as my Google searches had become polluted, and I had to dig way deeper in the search results to get anything decent. They also have an AI assistant that gives you access to all the major AI models and integr

I don't get this, I love the touchpad on the Apple TV, makes using it so much nicer than anything else I have tried.

I would put Disney+ after apple. Both AppleTV+ and Disney+ consistently looks great to me. Netflix is strange as it generally looks good but whatever compression they use does something funny to the picture which makes it look fuzzy and sha

Are the FBI or DOE assessments public? What I last read in the peer-reviewed public literature seemed to point strongly to animal origin and not from a lab.

My brief review of Kagi: I’m never going back to ad-supported search. I rely heavily on internet search for my job, and Kagi has made everything so much faster that I’ve almost stopped thinking about the search engine entirely. Google searc

I flew out of PDX all the time around 20 years ago and it was by far the best US airport I went through back then. I'm not sure what you could mean by brutalist hell in terms of portland. There is a ton of green space throughout the ci

It is more about how much effort does email take for you. I don't do that much email but find the task unpleasant and more time-consuming than I would like. Letting and LLM give me a first draft to work from based on the email and a co

I usually give it a short draft or points to use and my experience is it usually gives a clear and concise email for me to then work with. You can always ask it to be shorter and see if it gets what you are looking for.

For me, AI helping with writing email has been wonderful. I do a lot of email that is fairly generic and really just needs a basic template for replying or informing people. For those tasks it works great. I also had a more serious email th

My understanding is that e-ink with higher than 300 dpi is very difficult to produce which means it is rather expensive and doesn't look that much better to most people. Additionally, people think of an e-reader as a sub-$200 device so
