Not at all. The quality of the code may be terrible. BUT - when someone else new comes along to look at it, the 90% code coverage, and comments helps them immensely - they can get up to speed to fix whatever bug has appeared a lot quicker

The parent literally said it was a "shitty solution". I agree design by committee can produce awful results - and I said nothing about a single person doing a design as being an issue.

Sprinting - individual sport. Development - team sport. You could put Messi on my company's 5 a side lunch time team, and we still wouldn't win the champions league, and the skill of the others on the team would atrophy, and they

terraform != text/dns Lots of DNS tools speak text/dns natively - and being able to easily get all zones in that format makes things like export / point in time backups much easier.

text/dns is a standard way to move DNS zones around - this means you can export this to a file, and possibly import it elsewhere, or just archive it as a point in time backup

Not really - some of the code coming out of their dev centres is pretty awful. That said, most of the code coming out of telco vendors is complete crap, it is just endemic in the industry. This is why I laugh when I see the CNCF talking abo

The problem with kubic was the unknown space it was in - was it an appliance, or a generic distro with kubernetes packages. The btrfs stuff could have been quite good if they shipped btrfs snapshots as the update mechanism (like coreOS), bu
