I use DDG because of custom search 'bangs'. I have gotten rid of a whole bookmark sub folder of custom keyword searches. When I want google, which is less and less often, I just add a '!g' to my search. I doubt DDG wil

I know the piece is based on complete hearsay, but did anybody think it is a surprise? Console gaming is a very tough market to break. It is a tough market to stay afloat in for market leaders. Microsoft were untouchable a mere 5 years ago,

Opera 7/8 was way ahead of it's time. The tabbed interface was faster than Firefox, and better implemented, because Shift+Click opened new tabs, pretty much how I learned about tabs.

Well Control Center came from SBSettings, for one. On a 3GS running iOS4, you could quick reply to texts, play background music, have a visual multitasking interface, etc. This was years before iOS 7. Though most of the concepts seem to be

The biggest reason I use Firefox over Chrome is because of DownThemAll; an extension that would stop working when turn off XUL support. Trying to follow market trends is whats gonna kill Firefox.

It has been known for a while. Even the Geekbench payloads are different for mobile and desktop. However the benchmarks are irrelevant. Hardware performance means nothing in the face of application support and workflow integration for users

Well no, there's way to sync files simply but accessing files is quite simple. Regardless, even Dropbox uses local network bandwidth when syncing on two computers on the same network.

I mean how much does Apple pay to all tech blogs to pretend that iPad is still relevant. Cynicism is easy.

Samba/CIF is infinitely more simple than setting up Dropbox. But people have been trained on proprietary solutions, thanks to the iPod, hence find that simpler.

Well this is Engadget. But there's a lot to be said about the articles claiming how Apple is close to surpassing Intel, based Geekbench scores. Geekbench payloads are different for mobile and desktop, ao there is no comparison.
