But that does nothing to save the rich bastards funding it from dying. Death sucks, but I’m not sure indefinite life extension is a great idea for humanity at large.

This seems a really important point because it explains why this happens. It’s about power. Additional one could hypothesize that conspiracies are so effective here because they are (almost by definition) unfalsifiable. Similar to how churc

This kind of pipelining is really about efficiency. Without it, either only the game logic is busy (utilizing just the CPU, most often) or the renderer is busy (utilizing both CPU and GPU). By starting next frames game logic sooner (concurr

Very good point. I wish people would still use the word sympathy for expressing shared suffering, so that the word empathy could keep its original meaning.

I’ve mostly seen nuclear and GMO being promoted as a way to earn money by the promoter, their employer or their friends. Nuclear or GMO to improve the world is certainly an option but undoubtedly looks different than privatizing the profits

Interestingly, Tales from the Loop first saw the light as this amazingly produced Tabletop Roleplaying Game. It was then picked up and turned into the show. So if you like it, consider picking up the game and getting a few friends around th

In the case of Veloren it’s rather relevant since it’s a community project and this way they actively recruit new contributors among people (interested in) using rust for gamedev.

I would recommend trying the pomodoro method: 25 minutes of work, 5 minute break away from screens, repeat. 30 minute break after a few cycles. I’ve discovered I’m much more in touch with my mental and emotional state and even a five minute

I don't mean to be snarky, but WebGL 1.0 is 10 years old as of March. So yeah, if you need to support that there's a lot of extra work you need to do, for all kinds of things.
