I don’t know if it’s been tried, but if not it would be in everyone’s interest to see what Mullvad will actually cough up.

Note that there’s a big difference between AI and LLMs. There are plenty reliable techniques (by for example providing confidence estimations) in the AI toolbox. It’s just that LLMs aren’t one of them.

I’m pretty sure that’s mostly down to who your VPN is having you share IPs with. It’s hard to limit unwanted traffic while not impacting regular VPN users. More annoying to me is getting captchas constantly just for running a recursive dns

For me a big part is that global CSS doesn’t match component based web applications as well. Coordinating global class names becomes a pain quickly. Then you move to scoped CSS and suddenly CSS doesn’t add much anymore.

The article is rather long and I didn’t manage to read it all. But why wouldn’t this be done like a lock, where the shape of the key determines how far (or in this case which) pins are pushed? That way, you never have to touch the rotating

The big difference is height of the front of the car. For pedestrian safety you want them to end up on the hood or at worst go over the top of the car. Trucks and SUVs have pedestrians end under the car, which is more likely to be immediate

Maybe it’s actually a non-leaky abstraction because it makes the async-nature explicit. The alternative is hiding it, but it’s still going to affect your code, making that effectively a leaky abstraction.

1.8B is about one percent of the budget. So not that big of a rebate, especially when split among all member countries pro rata.

I’ve understood it as: Valve isn’t really in the hardware or console business. They release these fairly open devices in the hopes they get copied by others. Either to create a new market for Steam or to ensure an upcoming market has at lea

Society isn’t shaped just by current laws, but also by where we want things to go. If the current situations is undesirable, changing laws and regulations is the way to change it. (Of course actually enforcing current laws and regulations c

If the edges were all made as small arcs with extra actuators to rotate them either flat along the surface or outwards to form something that can roll. Might need to do the same for diagonals to get it to roll smoothly?

There’s no could about it. Dutch food advisory is already to limit eating fish to once a week because of PFAS. And eggs from chickens kept in your own yard are considered unsafe to eat, in a pretty big area. Unless you want to have them te

If only. The amount of plastic absorbed by pretty much everything we eat could easily be the most significant part. With possible exceptions for especially badly treated products such as GP's plastic-rolled fries.

Human diversity being what it is, I doubt a world government is desirable at all. But maybe we can agree on some basics around fairly sharing food and toys and not trying to steal the other kids toys (or even half their yard).

AFAIK you can actually get the sensors used for tracking at somewhat OK prices. But iirc the sensors actually do some part of the position calculations and as such aren’t simple enough to be really cheap.
