Come on. It's an open-source, community-funded, soft-launch of an alpha product. The cynicism on this site is really over the top sometimes.

The developers either created or commissioned the website. Accordingly, I think we can safely assume it conveys their goals.

This is neat. Well done. I'm curious how well the "buy me a coffee" model works with projects like this. It sure would be nice if there was a workable middle ground between selling subscriptions (or one time payments) and jus

Although it isn't automatic, doesn't the Postgres CLUSTER command reorder the rows on disk? Or am I misunderstanding something?

My comment about government services, banking, education and so on was in response to your general assertion that an iPhone is no different than other electronic devices and therefore shouldn't be treated differently by regulators. For

You raise good points about making sure that all those services are always available through multiple means, but the argument I'm making isn't that all those services are limited to a smartphone - they aren't... I think eve

My wife received over a thousand dollars in mystery credit card charges from the App Store over a period of about 6 weeks. Apple couldn't explain it or provide any insight whatsoever. Nothing. Apparently, the charges were on her credit

We Canadians use “America” and “The States” interchangeably to describe the United States and we’re not the least bit bothered by it. If we want to refer to the continent we’ll just say North America.
