As a designer I think it's a fantastic value. Even at the high end, $100 a year is a no brainer. They have Futura as a web font for christ's sake, FUTURA!

I love Typekit. I think Adobe knows better than to mess with the product itself. However the pricing model is pretty low by Adobe standards. I hope that doesn't change.

Love this "wrong project" concept. Have any blog posts or articles about this? Most of us can see when other entrepreneurs are working on a project that doesn't reflect their core strengths. It's much more difficult to identify when we're t

Totally agree, but that was one sector. Automation is disrupting every industry it can. Economists say those disrupted workers will adjust and learn new skills, but Martin Ford and many others think their numbers will be too vast and the av

For those of you who have your doubts, this is the bottom line for me: Corporate America is raking in the cash even though the economy is lousy. They don't NEED to hire new workers. They're doing fine without them, that's the thing no one i

Hmm can you expand on why you think Apple isn't Steve? There are surely many great people at Apple. But Steve maintained an unwavering, fanatical commitment to product. That's the secret sauce. With him gone how will that continue? With a c

Facebook knew what they were doing. By letting anyone tag you it makes their ecosystem richer at the expense of the individual user. FB routinely screws the user for the greater good of the ecosystem.

Tag approval should have been there from the start. Instead they decided the growth of the site was more important than respecting the preferences of individual users.

Indeed much of it is "functionally superfluous", but it does serve a purpose. For example Lowe's presents itself in a different way than Home Depot with friendlier colors, different typography, and messaging that on the surface may seem inc

love this idea. Would be even better if it could be incorporated with some kind of rating system. So like, level 9 coders could get hooked up with level 9 designers.

Nice overall. A few thoughts: -More color hierarchy. (Maybe too much tan?) - the 2nd photo is nice but the 1st and 3rd don't jump out at me. Invest in great photos. - Uncertain about who you are and what you're selling. It says "browse our

Coroflot.com and behance.net are good resources too. Generally speaking, talented designers (and hackers) enjoy working on interesting projects. If your idea is better than anything they're currently working on, they might work for equity.
