Unfortunately, despite not being rich, the poor don't have a monopoly on love. The way reality works is that, if you're able to make yourself rich, something obviously must be working out for you in your life. That thing that help

That reminds me of this slightly crazy guy I knew in college and roomed with senior year. He had been an RA, and "somehow," during some meeting, he managed to discharge part of a pepper spray canister, which led to the meeting hav

The conclusion I drew from what was described was that the soldier knew exactly what to do and dispatched the situation the most efficient possible way. He sounded so much more skilled than the highwayman that the effort to disarm the man w

Homo erectus lived 1.8 million years ago. Neanderthals lived 33,000 years ago. There's a difference.

Needing a preprocessor to be usable doesn't argue for CSS not being broken. On the contrary.

I didn't mean to suggest that you would work slowly. Your clients expect you to work with CSS, because it's the accepted solution, and anything else would be reckless. Within those constraints, CSS is a good solution -- circularly

Ordinarily, different species can't produce fertile offspring. A species thus isolated could go extinct without any ambiguity. So it seems worth making a distinction between complete extinction and when closely-related genetic lines re

That's probably where flight research would currently be if a few of those approaches hadn't achieved stunning success. Those successes would have silenced any groups that were holding out for artificial birds.

The sensational headline seems to have worked. I'm not sure if I've heard of this specific project, but to me it didn't sound all that novel. It reminds me of the semantic web.

That was a contrived example. The shell sets up the pipe and file redirections for each process in the pipeline, then lets them go. It has no control over when the child processes read or write. It could be a race condition, but it's w
