Is there some plugin that works like copilot with an inline suggestions, but using your api key? I don’t need the side panel, I use aider for that.

I don’t think I’m terms of objects at all, I think it terms of how the data flows. That’s why I like Elixir so much

by mstipetic 2y ago
Every time I step out of elixir I feel like I’m coding with some cumbersome construction gloves and everything is kinda coerced to work together. But for some reason it’s not picking up a lot of steam and the job situation is rough

I still don’t get how YouTube (premium + music) isn’t a clear winner here. Why use Spotify if you can get all that for the same price?
65.
by mstipetic 2y ago
You get YouTube premium and YouTube music with one subscription. For me it’s a no brainer, I’ve had it for years
66.
by mstipetic 2y ago
You have some examples of that?

Man, brain is so weird. The weirdest brain injury symptom I can’t wrap my head around is when people lose the ability to understand the number 0. Like everything else works but this is beyond their understanding. Like what’s so special abou

I have no idea why you’re being downvoted. We’ve seen this play out multiple times

Yes but once people mess up and choose the wrong thing it’s very hard to go back. There are plenty of examples of countries where bad actors have taken over all institutions and what then? There are not takesies backsies

I am, how is this personal?

by mstipetic 2y ago
Is that the only difference?

I’m super into elixir now and don’t see myself going anywhere else. Is gleam really that good? What are the advantages? Can I use liveview with it?

They assume a specific format of the invoices and conditionals aren’t easily supported - like if I’m removing VAT use one format, if not use another. Another problem is the annoying data input where things aren’t organized using tables for

I got annoyed at all the invoice generators so I recently built my own in a weekend. I put the data in Airtable and a python script generates the pdfs using typst. Much more flexible than any of the solutions I found and it took me less to

What the fuck are you talking about? That’s THE theory, the only theory that explains the behavior? The commonly accepted theory? Jesus…

They’d still do it for less money if there’s less total money in the market. It’s not like a bridge where a pound of steel costs X and not much you can do about it

by mstipetic 3y ago
Argument is that making these things is inherently very expensive, but the actor salaries tell me there’s plenty of left over once production ends. There’s static costs and there’s more fluid ones

What natural law mandates that DiCaprio has a 50-100 million salary per movie? You think if the amount of money is reduced actors won’t act anymore?

I’m 36 and am better than I’ve ever been. Especially with the LLM thing going on (and paired up with the elixir stack) I don’t have enough time to build all the things I want. I am also a technical interviewer from time to time for a recrui

All the sounds always sound so blurred together, as if there’s no space between the drum, bass, pad, melody, vocal etc layers

I gave up trying to reason with it when I attempted to upload a docker image. Turns out I had permissions to upload an image, but not individual layers.

I would highly recommend using this plugin with it - https://github.com/rpggio/obsidian-chat-stream It has basically changed the way I interact with LLMs and research and plan things

by mstipetic 3y ago
No one has ever thought of that and for sure can’t be available through a basic Google search. Maybe I’m wrong but every time anything with renewables comes there’s comments spreading doubt with basic questions

those are not tiling wms
88.
by mstipetic 3y ago
I really tried it but find it to be super inconsistent and more annoying than useufl. I tried several times, and nowhere near even basic wms on linux

by mstipetic 3y ago
I would pay a lot of money for a good tiling wm for a mac, not sure how it's not a thing. It's one of the main reasons I keep going back to linux, everything else I don't care about much

I'm on a basic M1 Macbook Air and don't feel limited at all, and am not tempted at all by anything new. I'm doing pretty heavy development on it on several projects, play around with producing music with Bitwig, battery is gr
