A story related to regulation that I like to tell people is my experience trying to open a UK bank account when I first moved there. As an EU citizen, I expected the process to be done in jiffy – just walk in to any ol’ bank and ask to open

The only modern game I’ve played that has strong teamwork elements is Battlefield 1. When you’re on a squad that works together it makes all the difference. If your team has multiple such squads you’re unstoppable. Great game.

Oh please don’t for a second believe I excuse this behavior in any way. I 100% agree with you, yet at the same time that is the reality you have to adjust to at times. Enterprise IT often moves at glacial speeds, and that’s on a good day...

Don’t worry, in about six to twelve months Google will release at least one product to competes with their own. With a little luck it’s better. Of course they’ll just scrap it about six to eight months after that, but it’ll be fun while it

This is a half truth. Native promises landed quite some time before a way to catch unhandled promises did, and even that event wasn’t enough, as evidenced by at least node deciding that the process needs to crash. (As it would’ve when unhan

If there’s no logic to catch the rejection it will be silently ignored, which is effectively the same as “swallowing exceptions” – your distinction is correct but it’s academic at best. In practice, this behavior causes very real problems a
