Not okay with it but I suspect that the NSA (and other governmental agencies) would be able to access it no matter what I do. I'm also more concerned about people I know getting their hands on things than about the government doing so.

Probably slightly safer using a US hosting company. At least some civil rights apply but I don't think there are any rules against the NSA spying on people outside the US.

Alternatively, and maybe combined with #2, I'd suggest looking at LinkedIn for brokers and property management companies. Sounds like they're your big customers and individuals or small landlords will help but won't make or break your busin

I have the same experience in the US. Seems like it might be a problem with the admin panel on a page (since other pages don't seem to have the issue).

Real estate agents are rarely hired because they're the best. They're hired because they have a relationship with the person selling the house or their relative or friend. It's also difficult to separate the good from the bad because the bu

Might be true in theory but not in NYC. There are constantly cases of illegal hotel conversions where landlords try to run their own hotels. That might be partially to avoid licensing (I know hotels in NYC need special permits) and taxes, b

I had good meat before I became a vegetarian but it's just not a food I really enjoy. I enjoyed high-quality meat but it just wasn't a taste I was ever especially attached to.

The University of Phoenix receives an incredible amount of taxpayer subsidies. Between budget cuts and the low-quality instruction it (and similar schools) provide, I think that's the most ripe for disruption.

Maybe not off that market cap but from everything I've read, Bezos and the Amazon leadership isn't focused on market cap. They're making a tidy profit, even if it's not as much as you or the market might want, and are running a great busine

My worry, though, is how do you know you're reaching a local maxima? What's the tip off that the slow-going is a sign that you need to change directions and not just work harder?

If you can, just meet with people. Sit down, talk about their problems, and how you can help them. Far more direct than blogging and hoping someone reads it.

A team I interned with did standups at the end of the day but honestly, at that point, you just want to go home; you don't want to stay to hear what's going on with everyone else.
