So even though you have no way of knowing if the species of bee this person is seeing is the same one in the article, you find the information valuable?

There are a lot of species people call bumblebees. This one particular species, Bombus pensylvanicus, has disappeared from much of its range. You may be seeing insects that are called bumblebees, but not likely the species being talked ab

I think the point is that these are not well-aligned couples. They barely see each other for 40 years and then they're stuck together 24/7. This article is specifically about the way this affects the wife. I don't know if t

I run into that all the time. I've got a solid grasp of biology and have a lot of knowledge about animals. It's pretty rare that I find an article that draws the conclusions I feel should be drawn from the information. I had to

It's nice that you think healthcare in the US works like that. I promise you that everyone I know who complains about what they are charged for healthcare is, in fact, complaining about the out-of-pocket cost. Let me know how you fee

Are you in the US? Not knowing the cost of a doctor visit until you see the bill is a ubiquitous problem with health insurance. Every time I need something besides a basic visit to a doctor I've seen before, I call my insurance compan

Oh yes they do. I've got "good" insurance and have such fun when I get a surprise bill for $150 for talking to a specialist for 15 minutes when I thought it would be a $25 copay under my plan. Costs a couple grand if I end

That's a good point, but the majority of ivermectin in the US is used as a dewormer. Maybe I'm incorrect here, but I'd say that the principle use of this drug is as a dewormer. It can also be used in other applications, but

Maybe it's an issue of dosage. At the levels you would prescribe outside of the hospital to a patient presenting with symptoms of schizophrenia, it can definitely cause sedation. At higher doses, you could probably say that it is a po

So if you were writing an article about benedryl, you would feel comfortable describing it as a powerful sedative?

Having sedating properties is not the same as being a powerful sedative. If they had said it was used because it can be sedating, I wouldn't have said a word.

English isn't a real language because it's had additions from other languages and the grammar has changed over time? Is French a real language? They've also lost most of their case declensions and have plenty of loan words.
