If I eat 5 burgers a day and reduce it to 2 a day, I will lose weight. However, no amount of burgers is good. For more than a decade I had been fasting intermittently. I ate one very huge meal everyday. Typical Indian meal with fair bit of

Free speech to be really free must be free of consequences. This also requires a rational, mature audience. The fear of consequences will not allow free speech to exist. Preaching Bible can offend my atheist neighbor. My neighbor's bla

Finding the true strength hidden deep inside is the only way to not get lost in the chaos of achieving more than the other guy. Something Alexander Grothendieck said is so relevant: In those critical years I learned how to be alone. [But ev

Trying to effect large-scale changes without rectifying fundamental issues is futile. We all want to change the system, but the system is only a large-scale reflection of individuals constituting the system.

The link says: > Passphrases are optional. Your synced data is always protected by encryption when it's in transit. Data is protected when in transit and passphrase is optional. How is this a good feature?

Spare time is important, money not all. Homeless people (homeless due to circumstances or by choice) can have extremely well-behaved dogs. Gypsy groups, tribal people and wandering monks in India are examples I have seen.

There are evil forces. We need to protect ourselves. We need military. However, it is naive to think that we, as citizens in a democracy, have any say in the wars we engage in. If we have no say, who does? If we have no say, is the one who

Look at "leaders" all around the world. Past and present. And look at condition of the world around you. It is people's fault that they become our "leaders". It is a crime that we let them remain in position.

A very few powerful men have been abusing other men for generations too. Women in such powerful families were no less abusive. Why are we ignoring the suffering of men?

We are centuries behind because we do not embrace the beauty of dimorphism. One sex complements the other. This is not a war for supremacy.

This world is built upon the dead bodies of men. Men who fought wars to protect their kin, men who fell from the top of buildings they were constructing, men who suffocated to death deep in the tunnels, or drowned in the ocean... Let us not

If that is your argument, I would say men have done a commendable job. They supported women for centuries while building a society that would eventually let women not be dependent on men.

Vision without wisdom is always myopic. People have a tendency to mistake smartness for wisdom. A grave error. Why is it that everything we touch gets ruined?

What you say makes complete sense. It is correct as per my observations. However, one big issue is that sociopaths (manipulators, idea\effort-appropriators...) have an edge. Also, such people accumulate and ruin workplace.
