I'm in the middle of To Say Nothing Of The Dog by Connie Willis. It is the most hilariousest of the time travel paradoxes, at least that I've ever read. It won a Hugo and was nominated for a Nebula.

I forget where I read this (Andrew Sullivan?). Someone predicted that now the Democrats will put out a new bill and it'll be voted through the house along party lines. Bush could veto it in the middle of his financial armageddon, or sign so

I'll add too that you don't need to credit all your ideas in general. There are three factors I can think of that play into this. The first is the genre you're writing/idea-using within. Academic scholarship has pretty stringent standards f

Slashdot has had karma for a long time. This FAQ refers to it, and it was last updated almost ten years ago. http://slashdot.org/moderation.shtml Good artists borrow, great artists steal.

RSS and site feeds are the DVR of the internet. Just thought I'd get that one in there. If you need to market it to someone, call it that. Come to think of it, that is a smoking hot idea. There really is no TiVo of the internet feed reader.

Here's an interesting solution. CMU just put out a tool called Perspectives that runs public notary servers. The servers probe sites periodically to get a history of keys. This can go a long way toward determining whether there is a man-in-

Not that I like it, but a lot of algorithms in papers use shorthand subscripting so they can write equations that aren't 300 columns long. Say you're doing neural network stuff like w_1,w_2,w_3,...,w_n for weights, inputs, outputs, etc. If
