It's own RAM. The memory bandwidth of my GPU (616 GB/s) is about 23 times higher than that of my system memory (26.5 GB/s). And I have applications that utilize 90% of that GPU memory bandwidth.

I'll chime in with my experience in Austria: * If I have a cold, I go to a doctor without appointment and if I'm unlucky, I have to wait for 2 hours. Usually it's 30-60 minutes. * If I have a specific thing that requires a sp

Inkscape is that one Open Source app where the UI isn't utter nonsense. Could be better but it's alright. Great to see it reaching 1.0.

What's wrong with TypedArray? It provides kickass performance for things like graphics. Any replacement would have to be at least as fast.

There are a lot of languages where even if you don't know that language, you can figure out what's happening. I have no idea what your example is supposed to do.

Python doesn't properly do static typing. Strong typing alone gives you none of the benefits of dynamic typing and none of the benefits of static typing.

I tried gitlab but I hated the web interface. It was lacking in so many departments. Any other alternatives to github to try?

I find if preferable to switch all the time. Switch needs two indents and virtually always that extra break, which makes it more complex all around than a simple if.

Not sure why you're downvoted. Also noticed that everyone uses statistics because you're expected to, but hardly anyone knows how to do it right.

Yes, that new algorithm disproportionally disadvantages AMD CPUs which are largely about multi-core performance. The new score weighting basically ignores the main advantages of the Ryzen series.

To a weighting that virtually ignores multi core performance entirely. Multi-Core weighting is now downgraded from 10% to 2%, single-core is at 40% and quad-core at 58%: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Faq/What-is-the-ef

Rearanged your js sample a bit, now it runs in ~26ms (first time) and ~11ms (subsequent times) instead of ~220ms in the chrome developer console. { let a = Math.pow(2, 1023) let t = performance.now(); let max =

Because number is practically the same as double, and you can't just go and change double values to integer values. Also, doubles are fast. BigInts are not.

I like to use classes almost exclusively as a way to couple an object with methods directly related to it. Basically structs with methods. Useful enough for me.
