I bought a house 2 years ago. Any communication from water and garbage utilities is always in paper form. No option for digital in any way. When asked it was for "legal" reasons. Property owner's insurance also sends their le

Denmarks main postal carrier discontinued letter delivery last year. Living in Germany I find the contrast always interesting and often, unfortunately, annoying. Almost anything legal has to be done on paper via letter. Fax (yes, really) is

We run an internal, fullstack platform that developers from other teams use to make their backend systems available to end users. To standardize design, we created grammar guidelines and fed instructions to an AI review bot. It catches abou

I have a newer Bosch oven which comes with an optionally engable rapid heat function. It can usually reach 200C (400ish F) within 5ish minutes.

I like the kitchen island as a massive prep space. Large enough for 2 large cutting boards, plenty of bowls, and other ingredients. Not using it for anything else though.

Throw away any cutting board thats not wood. (Bamboo being the exception although I dont know if bamboo is wood?) Plastic cutting boards will contaminate whatever you are cutting on it with a load of micro and, in many cases macroplastics.

You get of what you put in. (Sort of) I had a lot of good books that I finished reading and wouldn't realistically touch again. Whenever I went to browse for some books I would leave one of them in exchange. Over time, the quality went

I agree, but when rewatching older Trek shows it is also a bit infuriating how nothing really has an impact. Last season of TNG they introduced the fact that warp was damaging subspace. That fact was forgotten just a few episodes later. I t

As another German, I think there is different kinds of corruption. There is low-level and high-level. Low-level is when you bribe individual cops, city clerks, etc so they let you go instead of writing a speeding ticket or approving your ho
