I'm more interested in exposition style, rather than topics. Is there anything particular you liked about that book? I'll try to find a PDF for a looksie.

Python visualization needs a visionary like Hadley Wickham. Once you get used to the clarity of "Grammar of Graphics", every other plotting library feels like a clumsy tool. Also, people pointing out the diversity of needs behind

So I guess Gab is a Twitter clone like Voat was supposed to be for Reddit. As an aside, how does Mastodon deals/will deal with the issue? Because it is almost guaranteed that the most extremist elements will flock to it (I'm sold

What social and moral constraints exactly? They invest money through SoftBank, reap the dividends, and then spend it on wars and oppression just like before. It's fine to just admit that the tech world has shaky morals. But utterly del

A perfect reflection of why Linux is a failure on desktop. If org-mode and latex are sane replacements for office for average users, may the kernel gods save us all.And this is from someone who knows how to use both.

“This app is only for rich people,” Spiegel said, according to Pompliano. “I don’t want to expand into poor countries like India and Spain.” Delicious irony. https://variety.com/2017/biz/news/snapchat-evan-spi

I shifted to Linux full time this year from MacOS. The only thing I desperately need is a replacement for is MS Office. Any ideas? I'm a power user, which Google word is simply not good for.

Have you considered opening a cooperative Bank? You could out-innovate a lot of slow moving small banks. And I think the initial capital requirements are lower.

Exactly what I meant. Why would foreign policy majors need to know how to program an Arduino. I can't think of a single reason to.
