Ah yes, the venerable journalists at “biznews” hard at work. Honestly, why do you think anyone here would take the advice of some random Wordpress site? Also, natural immunity is variable whereas a vaccine gives standard coverage without h

Same. I already have $1,100 saved for a gaming PC, but since that might only buy a GPU right now I’ll just jump into this and hopefully wait out the GPU crunch.

Honestly this is so stupid brilliant I love it (stupid as in I can’t believe I hadn’t considered this). Honestly it really is about storing, sending, and checking messages so SMTP makes so much sense! I’ve been building for the web for 15 y

Woof. I don’t think you could stuff anymore fear and paranoia into a platform than that. “The schools are bad and getting worse”, “ A society that permits mass lawlessness is doomed. We are on that path”, “ Every day, we read about new lega

It simply isn’t an inevitable part of it. There’s a chain of failures happening to Lois Rossman and the licensing board not picking up phone calls to take appointments is one of them and it’s in no way “inevitable”. By your logic if a servi

Came here to promote Mullvad as well. Not that they can’t point back to your up address or some such but since you can login to the VPN using a unique identifier instead of an email address and password it’s a pretty decent way to decouple

Meh. As a Type 1 diabetic I hear things like this constantly. I’d love it to be true but like another new revolutionary battery I’ll believe it when I see it on the verge of mass production with all of its various certifications and approva

There is a host of terms used in that thread that point to the person as a conspiracy theorist. "The Cabal", "The Great Reset". These are terms used in the Qanon community constantly. It has to do with the person lacking

They also push the idea of "The Great Reset" in that thread, which is another conspiracy theory that is tied up with FEMA putting people in camps in abandoned Walmarts, Bill Gates chipping us through the Covid-19 vaccine, and Q-an

Are you saying that calling Barlow “Fartlow” on Twitter is the equivalent of a mob attempting to murder Jews? I think Eve Barlow is adult enough to handle a fart joke. If not I’m not sure being a journalist is the easiest career choice for

How do you picture it being decentralized but not self hosted? Self hosting was my first thought and I can’t think of a way to keep it from being centralized under an organization’s control without at least having it as a simple to setup He

That’s true but the Digital Millennium Copyright Act is a US law and this is an Indian court. So it’s similar in that what has to be reported is the act of a user sharing the content, but the reaction the platform has to take is different.

That’s a gross oversimplification. That’s like saying “every application hosted on a server running Linux is basically the same”. AWS makes money by hosting all kinds of things, it doesn’t mean Amazon the company is a once removed partner o

I absolutely love that episode. Any TNG story that features Picard being exited about archaeology is usually a great one. But I agree with your point. It’s not bad to write with computer consumption in mind, unless it loses the core focus
