Same for me. The car looks beautiful and then you see the dashboard and it's just plain ugly. Doesn't match the rest of the car at all. It's easy enough to simply offer another trim option for the dash though.

It would also save the manufacturer from having to put stuff like "collect data on drivers’ sexual activity and sex lives" in their privacy policy. I really don't get this insane need to track everything. The computers in car

You see this a lot with videos editors. A professional video editor flies around in their software of choice like an sales person in a TUI. Both are inherently proficient with their tool, to the extend that it's hard to graps what'

Last I read the Ecosia/Qwant index is only used in German and French, so I think Ecosia is still running their weird Bing/Google/Other mix. Bing felt about as good as Ecosia, until Ecosia started to mix in the Google results.

The fact that Google seemingly returns results worse than Kagi, Startpage and Ecosia is just strange, given that Google provides search results for all three of them. Both Kagi and Ecosia uses other sources as well, I don't know about

While I love a good cloud bashing, it's really not black and white. If you're really small, it probably doesn't matter much if you're using Hetzner or AWS, but co-location might be a bit to expensive. If you run an absol

There's probably also a decent chance that the author can't actually do it. Let's say it's the 9000 lines of code. I'm also not reviewing 900 lines, so it would need to be more than 10 PRs. The code needs to be brok

It would be kinda hilarious if the result of all this LLM research is that humans are basically just LLMs with more sensors and a long history.

The article suggests that it takes 14MB of Javascript to do just the calendar. I doubt that all of my calendar events for 2025 is 14MB.

For me it actually is the language. While a little pushy at times I think the arguments for rewriting certain things in a safer language is well founded. If the apt tool chains is one of those places I'll leave for the Debian developer

You don't need to teach parsing, that won't help much any way. We need to teach people to be good netizen again. I'd argue that it was always viewed as reasonable to scrape content, as long as you didn't misrepresent con

To me that exploitation in the porno industry and the idea that porn should be restricted is two separate issues. I'm not really oppose to limiting access to porn for children, we did that before the internet, we do the same for alcoho

I'm confused about that as well. I don't see any reason for the US to not test the delivery mechanisms, i.e. the ICBM and missiles. The ICBMs are being replaced, so it would make sense to test those, but the Tomahawks and Trident

Yeah, I'm going to need verification on that one, because it's an incredibly weird interaction. Sadly we can't trust Tesla to provide it, as they're know to hide "problematic" data.

My understanding was that you can install Windows 11 Pro, and tell it that you want to join a domain and in that case you're prompted to create a local account. That generally seems like the easiest option, even if the $45 price differ
