Which begs the question why doesn't Posterous use multiple proxies from various providers. Perhaps they are now - but it seems too late for other Rackspace clients.

Why is that a terrible approach? It seems to have worked. If a wound is bleeding profusely - you put a cloth on it. Sure it doesn't heal you, but it is hardly a terrible approach.

EVA is an example of an airline that I would specifically choose due to quality, where I normally optimize based on price because I sleep the entire flight. They have a lot of direct flights. From Toronto-Taipei that means the difference b

I think one of the biggest benefits of physical work is that you can more easily turn it completely off. You have to be in your garage to be woodworking for example. You can't be on the couch with your wife pretending to watch a movie with

I would agree - the money spent on hotels probably doesn't stay as local as money spent on food and entertainment. Really an unrelated issue though.

Looking quickly at your product - here is my advice. Raising funding will be hard for this type of product. MS Access for the web is an extremely hard business model to raise any funding for. You have a platform you can build stuff in - w

Which won't happen in the next 5 years. (just so someone can come back and quote at one of us in 6 months...) Now seems like a reasonable time looking at the fundamentals and ignoring the antenna issue.

If you are poor and old in Canada, you will not get the quality of life you want from the public system alone. You will get the medical care you need, and won't go without food, shelter and basic care.

My grandmother is in her 90s and mentally she is at 100%. She gets around a little slower now. That is a scary thought for some. She retired in her 50s!

I wouldn't advise arguing against capitalism while drunk. What does the amount they charged for their product have to do with anything? Pricing is influenced by the market - the market was willing to pay what they were being charged. I do

Of course - which is why I would see it makes sense for differentiating between people with children. It is somehow of more consequence that a mother misses 3 months of a child's life than a father?

I really don't think that equality in genders means that 50% of YC applicants (or any particular career choice) should be women (or men). "I want a Y Combinator for women" is an incredibly ignorant comment. First, it suggests that YC someh

That is unfortunate about your friend. Helmets seem to be all or nothing. If there is a law forcing them, 95% of people wear helmets. If there isn't, 95% of people don't wear a helmet. You would expect people to carefully consider it and
